1966 Plymouth Fury build thread.

I have a plan. I'm going to go through the inside of it just to be sure there is nothing good, then remove the third member and one or two engine brackets. Then i'm filling this pile with all my scrap steel and bringing it to the recycler. I might make $200...not sure what scrap is going for right now.

There is literally nothing good on this car. What isn't seized, is rusted, or broken, or dented, or missing altogether. I've never seen such a worthless car with so little to redeem itself.

I think people just think Convertible cars are worth a lot.
I have seen some heeps listed for $10k and they didn't even have any of the top parts

Well I haven't done much of anything over the winter other than work a ton.

I did order a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake for it from Innovate Engineering, AKA @folkenheath last fall. At the time we were told it'd be a month or so before it'd ship out. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago and Edelbrock had finally cast a few more of these.

Heath kept me informed the entire time and then shipped it promptly when it finally showed up. UPS dropped it at my door yesterday.:saweet:

I'd love to just order up everything else I need to get it running, but with the current state of the world I have to be somewhat cautious with money. I did order one more part though, one which I have been threatening to order for quite some time. It's back ordered til the first week of May though. This is the next piece:

Quick Fuel Brawler 750. Mechanical secondaries, 4 corner idle mixture, electric choke.

If work still looks "OK" in a month I'll order up a new distributor/box/cap/wires etc. In the meantime our weather is finally starting to get warmer so I hope to get out there and try to get the passenger header modded, then move on to starter, wiring etc. The last piece in the engine bay still needed is a radiator. Not sure when I might be able to order that either...I may be able to temp rig a radiator in there to do a start up but don't know for sure I can make what I have here work.

That's the update for today.
