I’ve been asked to take my mom‘s 1968K 10 back home to Alabama with me so that I can fix the transmission and sell it for her. Does anybody have a close weight on these things, I brought up my 18 foot utility trailer which I hauled a three-quarter ton suburban on but not for 1200 miles.

I was finding around 4000 pounds, so it’s a good confirmation. The reverse plunger C clip in the transmission popped off so second gear is all it has right now, other than that it’s a pretty solid pick up minus the lack of turning radius which I don’t understand I will have to dig into.

Around 4,000lbs. is a safe bet - just remember when you load it on the trailer that the K/10 will be front end heavy so placement on the trailer will effect tongue weight; adjust as needed.
