Slow process of putting it back together.
maybe someone has answer.

New outer door handles.
When I lock the doors they stay locked but when you close the door they unlock.
Hahaha

If I try holding the push button part closed and lock it, then shut the door, it still unlocks.

If I'm in cab they lock or if the door is closed and you lock it with the key they lock, passenger side barrel is a bit stiff. I dumped some wd40 all in there and in the key hole, I know it's not a lubricant but it's all I had.

So something in the process of the door latching is causing them to unlock.

Any ideas?

I think they are supposed to do that. That way you don’t accidentally lock yourself out. Have to use the key to lock it.

Yeah, I figured as much, at least it seems you're correct. My Squarebody doesn't do that maybe it's a 67-72 feature...
@Fastereddie
Yup. You can grind the little ramp off of the lock arm in the latch assembly. It rides on the wheel of the latch and pushes the lock up when it rolls as the door is closed. I haven't ever done it, just looked into it to find out why it does this.

That is how the doors are in the my 66 Chevy truck. And like @Fastereddie mentioned it can have good benefits because I have a bad habit of leaving the keys in the 66 for some reason.

That’s a good feature!
I’ve locked myself out a few vehicles…sucks if you don’t have spare keys or not close to them.

I went and got two sets made for the c10, and they work. I have 3 sets for the blazer, though that's far easier to get into since back window just rolls down.

What tool would you guys recommend to get in and recheck the motor mount bolts?
I have the energy suspension type mount with the stock frame perch.

I'm having issue getting a ratchet in there, especially on the passenger side. Fuel
Pump and battery cables in the way, driver has power steering pump. And from behind both have the exhaust from ram horns in the way.

Maybe the angled box wrench type thing?

I've also read these mounts are more firm or rigid and so be motors does move a a bit more at idle.

I was also looking into a torque limit strap for safety. But then read that it was mainly a safety fix from the recall of the throttle bar sticking at WOT when motor mount broke.

So, I browsed and figured I could just use a thick type chain or something? But that would have a gaudy look. Where on the block would you bolt, exhaust manifold?

Thoughts, suggestions?

I don't have the throttle bar I replaced that with the Lokar throttle linkage cable.

Check and see if those mounts have an interlocking tab inside them.
Maybe they tell something on their website?

This is the one I'm after to..it's a bitch to get to. Not even sure those offset wrenches would be offset enough to get in the perch

The offset wrench is not off set enough to make contact. Deep socket worked enough, the hiccup is the think blue battery cable in the way. Seen you can really only acces this motor mount bolt from the front of the car, at least without jacking up the truck.

I just wanted to go over the bolts now that the truck has 200 miles on it. So, water pump, ps bracket, trans mount.

Thankfully I swapped hubcaps, the driver side rear tire was barely on. The lugs nuts could be turned by hand. Only one was tight. I had only finger tightened when mounting the tires, because of adjusting drum star wheel, figured shop would check... but they didn't so I did.
