1970 C10 Shortbed conversion LSX

Alright here is what I came up with. These Chevrolet script valve covers have turned into a chore but so worth it on an LS motor. Seems to be holding oil now. Not blowing it out the breather and cork gaskets (also siliconed them a little) tip from @78SWB

On the passenger side I installed a -10an fitting baffle, up with 90* and hosed it up to the stock TB vac port.

Drivers side I changed the open grommet out for a baffled one. Seems to breathing a lot less oil out!

Next is installing F-Body fans and harness I have for it. Does it seem odd to anyone that this truck runs super cool even with no fans hooked up? Just a mechanical gauge so it could be off a little but still haven't noticed it running hot or causing issues?? It does have a huge 4 core aluminum radiator

I have a 2 core aluminum on my little 5.3 with the mechanical fan and my truck runs really cool even on 100+ days. I think there is a lot more airflow to the radiator and even under the hood in these old trucks compared to what the engines came from. There is a lot less crammed under there trapping heat.

Im digging the coil relocation, any chance you can take a picture of the coils mounted to the head? Trying to picture it all.

Any chance you still have this?

Guy made me an offer on it that I couldn’t resist. On to the next one!

If you are interested it’s probably for sale. It was a dealer that bought it from me

Wow every picture is gone. Fkn photobucket
