Also, what do you plan on doing with the other body?

Yeah I was going to brace it until I found that other tub. Had the hard top on when I took the rockers off. I'll still probably brace it before I take the tub off. I plan on hopefully just selling it all as one. Most of the tub is in good shape.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. You parting her out? I'm looking for an unmodified center dash section with the AC vent above the radio. And decent hood springs.

Well I'd like to sell it all at once but if I find enough people for parts I have I'll part it.
selling a tub with a missing rocker panel may be tough but hopefully you will and someone will bring it back to life. Whatever you do with it, if you end up parting it out, make sure you cut off the windshield frame and hold onto it. Those sell very well, even though a reproduction part is finally available.

I have the replacement rocker boxes and panels in the garage. Bought them from Classic heartbeat in olympia so they are quality reproduction parts. they would go with the tub. as well as a title for it.. even has the custom made reinforcement plates that are custom made there as well as end caps. i had originally planned on restoring my tub until i came across a good deal on one that was already rust repaired..

Welcome! Awesome that there are decent originals still floating around!!

What he said!! What are you using it for?? Don't beat it up if you are going to ditch it. What makes me feel crazy is that "donor" is in way better shape than what I started with!!! Look forward to watching!

I plan on just selling the old tub, I started doing the rust repair but then I found a tub that didn't need any and decided to save myself a bunch of time and thanks!

Awesome! Well make sure u put it up here for the ck5ers to offer some $$ I'm sure someone here would want it!!

Yea I plan to, rear quarters are really straight, bed only has rust where the cage bolted in and a little by the tailgate, windshield frame is solid, doors need the bottoms replaced, and the dash is uncut and in good shape. I'd ask around 800$ does that sound fair? For 900 I'd throw in the replacement panels too since I don't need them anymore!

If I had the room and you weren't 3000 miles away I might have taken you up on it. If it's really that straight with minimal rot I don't see why not. I wonder what some of the seasoned guys would think of that?? :dunno:

Yeah shipping might be a little much!! I'd let it go for whatever was reasonable. I'm sure my wife would like to have the other half of the garage back, and someone making an offer on it would sure kick my butt in gear to get it off the frame!

It's probably a reasonable price, but you need to find the perfect person willing to take on the project, be at that stage, has the money, and lives close by. Not easy, but not impossible.

Where in Washington are you? The body on my son's blazer is in really bad shape so I'm in the market.

Noooo by sending the tub to a happy new home opens up room for tools shelves work tables etc!! :haha:

Your wife is used to not parking in there. Don't want her getting used to something we all know will end up being short term parking once you get crazy with projects!

I am about 20 minutes from Tacoma area. I can provide you with more pictures if you'd like!

It's about 900 miles one way. I need to talk it over with my wife and son and make sure it will work. What all will the tub include? doors? tailgate? title?
