1972 K/5 Blazer Ochre LS

Started cleaning up the column and getting all steering back in working order. After tearing into it I realized it needed new bearings and the spring at the intermediate shaft was missing. Ordered a few parts and I’ll have it in good working order. Also couldn’t resist ordering a 15” factory style steering wheel like pictured.

The parts rig is my 71 blazer. Basically been throwing parts on this thing for storage, the body is trashed. I’ll never restore this one unfortunately

After: Back on the rallies to keep it rolling

I like the way that spare looks. Are you going to paint it white?

I don’t know why it looks like that in the picture. I stripped it and put a fresh coat of white on it

Haven’t really got much done on this garage ornament. Threw the soft top on so it wasn’t rolled up in the corner any longer.

Lookin cool! Seats look great!

Any idea what that hole was intended for on the front fender?

Got moved outside for about a month while a put a new CP3 in my Duramax. Looked good sitting out there. It’s back inside now and hopefully the motivation will come back. So many little things to finish up

Pack up and moving to a new home this week. Time to focus on other things for a while. Unfortunately this about cleans me out of my best 67-72 truck parts. I feel like it’s an end to an era. Feeling wore out on the 67-72 stuff, the market is completely screwed and I’ll never own the one I want. Finding parts and building them right now is also crazy. Gona let someone else handle this one.

Congrats on the new home!

Would have liked to seen the finished first gen ... all your builds have been cool! Hopefully you got good money for it , and looking forward to seeing what you do next!?

All my dreams of owning the vehicles I had and loved in the past have gone to insane money.

I get it.

Are you following along with the 86 K5?? It’s really what’s next. It’s been a great rig, I hope to hold onto it for a while.
