1972 K20 Custom Camper

I bet the tires would fit fine. My dad had a '69 2wd with 33/12.50s on 8" wheels that cleared when I was a kid.
255/85/16 measures out to 34.5"
My thought was tall skinny would be better than a tall/wider tire for clearance when turning.

I get just a tad over 33" when using a calculator. Was figuring it could vary pretty widely by manufacturer but didnt think they would run 34.5?

That's why I got this one versus the 285/75/16 that I had before, same diameter roughly but narrower and clears my fenders better

We just bolted some 285/70r17 to my dads suburban. So im thinking we will test fit those on here as well to see how it looks. The backspacing will be quite a bit different but diameter is close enough to get a visual.

I had a set of those too on the other suburban before I went to 37" tires.
I had them on dodge wheels with a negative offset to push them in and clear my fenders.
I will need something to clear the 37s

Threw the bed on. Color is off but closer than I thought it would be. Rims look good in think. Just need to get some different tires.

Guy locally was selling a tail light fuel fill conversion and some led reverse lights for cheap. Put the reverse lights in just for looks. When we do the 14 bolt swap and clean up the rear frame we plan to do the k5 tank conversion at the same time.
