1973-1985 crew cab 10.5k+ gvrw

GreenieK30: I'd restore that if I was you.

I never knew the 73-87 trucks went higher than the 10,000gvw camper special. One of those 12,000gvw+ trucks would be sweet to restore and put a Duramax in :D.

It looks nice in the pictures but it has been well used. I have 3 nicer Chevys and 5 other 4x4s I am working on, that is more then enough projects! :haha:

This is a good parts truck, the next one will be more valuable because there will be one less. I searched around the net and it seems like these 13,000 GCW 3+3s were common in Canada, this one came from the B.C. area. The original color is dark green, it was probably a logging crew truck.

Check out the re-upholstered dash

yo.. im now wanting the entire thing...
will it have axles so it can be moved?
im trying to get a quote for shipping... my bud had a 71 fullsize delivered from california to NJ for $1200 but he said there were some that could do it for $900... but they told him that if you get a lower quote.. then sometimes dings can happen.. well i dont care about that..

i want a totally legal truck and now figuring.. if you want $400 for the entire thing.... and i can get it shipped for $1000.. why not.. im having problems these days finding a crew cab especially with the gvrw i want!!!!

let me know what town you are in so i can get a quote please... also gonna pm you my cell so you can call me...
thanks man!

well here is the lowdown...

im still getting shipping quotes for that beast to get to my house.. then im still a bit short for buying it.. but hopefully GreenieK30 can hold it for a bit more....

my game plan.. is to get the one from him once i get the shipping quote finalized..

other option if i cant... is i found a guy that is parting out a 2wd c30....
he is keeping the wiring harness and dual tank wiring harness...
but he needs a bed.. so i may just trade him straight up for my bed for his cab and rear frame support... then drop that on my frame.
he also had titles combined.. which i would do too... to get it all legal....
other possibility is if i cant get greenies shipped over here.. he is going to scrap it.. still could get the "docs" from that one and merge it into the 2wd cab and try and get all that tied together... legal begal...

now all this hinders upon one other important factor.. my wife...
she never likes when i do this stuff... but im trying to get my choices, prices down then sit down and explain to her.... we will see how it goes...

isn't the CVW and GVWR two different things for what you need Rootbreaker? to be emmisions(lift) exempt, don't you need a single chassis over the 10,500 CVWR or have i been reading this all wrong? that 13,000 is for the truck and trailer, no?

wish u best of luck! just so everyone else knows i already have dibs on his cab.. :thumb:

i dont know but my truck is a campering special too.. and it is a 8400 gcvw and that is what the lift guys went off of.... :dunno:

The badge says 13,000 GCW which means gross combined weight. There is no door tag because the truck was repainted and only this sticker in the glovebox. Is the "M" in the VIN a 454 engine?

It is a Canadian model, the speedo is in Kilometers. I bought it from the second owner.

going to "discuss" with the wife tonight....
hopefully all goes well.. and this will be on its way to the east coast!!!!!!
:woot:

usually she tells me i do what i want anyway.. but i want her onboard as a ... this is what i want to do ... plus make my current pile of junkyard parts into a legal nj vehicle!!!!

more to come...

like i said in PM.. just let me know how you want payment as i want to get that to you now.. so you can hold it for me to schedule a pickup..

wife pissed or not.. i want this and have valid points that she has to see....

will tell her tonight..

wish my 11 yr old wasnt getting in so much trouble lately... wife had to get him from school today... but i think he is starting to get it.... he is a A+ student.. but the listening, attitude, and lacking of common sense is really hurting him...
i have been trying to wait for the wife to calm down from him to tell her bout the truck.. but cant wait.. so im just going to tell her later today...

so just get my crew ready please.... and payment will be to you when you tell me how you want it... :woot:
