1973 blazer

okay well back on subject.....

i got the window installed and man it makes a difference i actually feel like im driving a blazer!!LOL

i alligned the doors so no more sag and now they close with ease

i bolted the loose fender down

and i gernaded a u-joint the one on the rear d-shaft closes to the t-case

it was easy to swap out for a $10 auto zone one

man am i ired and thats just today






i snapped the u-joint pulling my friends new(to him) 84 k5 man was he happy ill post picks as soon as i remember to take some
 
To be honest...i never knew that the 80s k5's came with the th400 unless it was diesel, or a 205.

But anyways thats a pretty good score there!
 
yeah thats what i told him, he started to get second thoughts but i changed it.LOL

it has 10bolts but they seem okay,

im stil kinda sad that i didnt get a 400, 205 combo
 
okay so i have a new problem

the idle drops down alot when im in gear, i dunno why. in neutral or park it idles fine but once in gear it wants to die, what do you all think the problem is??
 
ive had a chevy or two do this, all i did was had someone help me, put it in gear and have them adjust the idle. never had a problem after that. had a yota one time do it and that one i had to replace the choke in the carb.

Look on your ticket it should say if it was radar or laser. Radar is checked with a tuning fork. We had two that we used. Also the unit must be checked once a year to verify that it is true and accurate. Some larger departments do it in house. How ever each radar unit has a record for maintenance.

The officer gets paid to go to court either in OT or Comp time so he will be there if you plead not guilty. Radar works on the Doppler theory.

exactly. i remember i did 92 in 65 in my 2001 camaro z28 in a naked highway, the police was parked on top of the hill behind the trees, i didnt see him, and he pulled me over gave me a ticket, i was upset. 19 at the time, so i moved on. went to the get together at a friends. i didnt pay for the ticket, lost it had no address. so i waited for the letter they send me. i got it, went to the court. then saw the original ticket(owned by police) i had no lawyer. i say i aint guilty. then the judge say ok.. blah blah. and i showed the judge myself, plus the police man in private that the ticket had no radar number on it, they let me go. i lucked out. so check out ur ticket and see if they say anything abt radar number, and/or was it clocked by the radar. etc. givin u some ideas to "cheat ur way out" not that its a good thing to try, i did do 90 plus mph, but lucked out. and sold the car a few months after that. never went sport cars again.
 
In Ohio 20 miles over the posted limit is Jail!

the PO did a hack job removing the rear axle so looks like ima need a shackle flip

and i bought it just for the rear tailgate with the window
 
Kool besides using the tailgate. Do you plan to use to fix any rust issues? Looks like you could sell for parts and then scrap to make your money back. Nice score
 
yeah its totally rust free!!

so im cut parts off it for my truck , oh and it has a rear roll bar, gas tank skid plate rear fold down leather seat, and so on
 
wow there is Nothing around here that is even remotely structurally sound for $137...
 
I would so come and buy that entire truck from you, Ohio sucks, I miss Cali for the truck's. Although people there are starting to figure it out and price them higher.
 
okay so a small update
i got the back tailgate replaced, so now i have a rear window which in turn will keep water out

i did a big task on it and replaced the heater core, so now im one step closer to having a rust free truck.

next step will be rockers and then i will tackle the front floor(only place with rust)
well i will hopefully take some pics for you guys tomorrow
