I added a 3/4 to 5/8 aluminum adapter so that I could have the majority of the heater hose the same diameter, 5/8. Then added some chaffing protection on the AC wiring because of those pesky hose clamps.

So my youngest son, Ian, got me an awesome Father's day gift.
He sprang for the 2003 Ferd Windstar cooling fan.

Now, all I gotta do is figure out how to wire it up. Pretty sure I can handle the smaller fan with its two wire plug. But, that 3 wire larger one, gonna have to do some digging. Maybe if I search the CK5 archives a bit I can find an old diagram someone else did. It's been a long while since I've heard of anyone doing this.

Plugs are available through a bunch of different places.
Like I said before, I got the two wire fan figured out, B+ and ground.
The big fan with the 3 wires? Not so much.
I'm thinking it must be for a diode or some shit, someone trying some variable speed BS.
Well, Homie don't play! I just want on and off. Now, I could do some High and low speed BS, but, I would need a diagram. I might have to breakdown and get another Alldata subscription.

It's a 2 speed but I don't know the pin layout.
I am sure someone here has it.
 
I'm hoping someone has the pin layout.
I've been looking around a bit. I have not seen it anywhere yet.

New reciever dryer just showed up.took several attempts to get the correct one as GM in their infinite wisdom:surepal: couldn't seem to use the same parts on any two trucks.

Got the 2003 Ferd Windstar cooling fan installed. It was about as much fun as man should be allowed to have on 100°+ day, but, it's in, not going anywhere. Only about 3/8ths of inch clearance between #2 fan motor and power steering pump/belt/engine wiring harness.

I found the info I was looking for, first post, second page. Blazooki, who has passed:frown1:
I wanted to know about the 3rd wire on the big fan, so apparently, of the 3 wires, one is ground, one is low speed and one is high speed.

So, who can hook a brother up with, a pic of a T400, with the shifter on the transmission in the park position? I don't want to start this with it in gear. I don't have a shifter in it right now.
 

TH400 shift shaft positions

Can I get some confirmation that the furthest clockwise position on the shift shaft is the Park position, and full counterclockwise is 1st gear (standard valvebody)? This is when looking at the side of the transmission.

I got the Ferd Windstar fan all wired up. The 3 wire main fan turns out Black is Ground, Brown is low speed , Blue is High speed. High and low can operate without the other,.so I wired.up the Blue High speed wire. Leaving the brown low speed not hooked up, and taped up to prevent arcing. I check them with a few test leads and my Duptima battery.
I should be able to go back at anytime and hook up the brown low speed. Probably won't though.
