Can you remove the brake booster on a 74 from the firewall outside or do you have to get up under the dash and remove the brake pedal pin?

about 50/50 on hardware and under dash for pin.
Is the brake switch a PIA to remove from the pedal?
boster/pin and switch all easy get under and look. take few tools and pop them out.
