1974 Blazer rear window is crooked

The LMC parts looks identical to the part you removed. Do you know if the old part was OEM or aftermarket?
 
I’m not sure. I’ve only had the truck for a year. They do look very similar but the new one works perfectly and the window is straight now.

Did you check the old regulator to see why the gears are off and skipped? There might be an underlying reason why that happened. Possibly the tracks that the rollers ride in on the window have the original grease which turns hard and makes the window slow/hard to raise. Might need to clean and re-grease those tracks.
 
Here’s my concern. I thought the old and new looked frighteningly the same. An original from GM wouldn’t look like that taken from a another Blazer. My issue is given the nature of LMC reproductions I would be suspect that what was pulled out was an LMC part installed by the previous owner. That doesn’t bode well for the reliability of the new part.

I agree that checking the the one that was pulled out to find out the root cause would be wise.
