1974 k5 frame swap to 1988 short bed silverado.

I just got a restorable 1974 k5. Just bought a 1988 step side 4x4 Silverado. 6.5 ft bed. Soon to arrive.
I am thinking putting 74 body on the 1988 frame. I don't do off roading.
The 88 has very low miles.
Good idea or bad idea?

The 74 mechanicals are in need of assorted repairs. Plus I want overdrive. The 1988 is low miles with steering being tight and not wore out.

They are two very different platforms, be less work to just fix the blazer and add a overdrive trans.

Just swap the engine/ trans over to the blazer.
