There's a couple others I noticed but they're crazy if they think they'll get what they're asking. Then again show up with cash and it's another story. I looked at a rusty but running single cab 4-cyl 4x4 91 a few years ago that a dealership in Grand Rapids was asking $4000 for. Typical Michigan Toyota of the vintage...well, actually the body was better than most but still not a rust free specimen...my buddy and I looked it over, noted the rust and wear and tear...thought the guy was crazy...but it started right up and idled nice. Drove nice too but the rust was bugging me (wasn't into beaters then...thought everything needed pretty paint and no rust) so I handed the salesguy the keys and said thanks anyways. He asks what it would take to get me into it and I just sorta laughed...he drops $500...I said no thanks...he drops another $500...this continued until he was at $1500 and I walked out the door. Still kinda kick myself for not taking it.
Also dig around on some of the 4x4 forums in the area. Seems to me like the folks on the forums won't try to squeeze every dime out of a vehicle if they know it's going to another member/enthusiast. A few years ago when I bought a Tracker but was sorta looking for a Toyota a guy offered me a decent shape (from the SW too) 4-cyl, 5 speed, 4x4, extended cab '90 or so truck for just about what I paid for my Tracker a few days previously. Damn...
