1975 K5 wiring

sorry couldnt edit message but it ties to the purple with tracer and plugs into what looks like a solenoid on the steering column with the solid purple and purple with tracer on same plug.

The purple with white tracer goes from the ignition switch to the neutral safety switch. From the neutral safety switch to the starter is purple. The previous owner bypassed the neutral safety switch.

To be clear, the purple with the white tracer is the starting circuit.

i will just leave the black wire off and repair where they stripped the purple wire.

well got her turning over tonight but found that the fuel pump seems to be not working so off to get one in the morning and some new fuel lines.

Does the black wire coming from the firewall have an inline fuse in it? Is it hot?

not the black wire i was referring to was the black wire that the PO was using the bypass the neutral safety switch the other black wire i had running from the fire wall i ran straight to the battery along with the 10guage red wire from the acc power block on the fire wall.
