1976 C2500 GMC Suburban 454HO 4wd Convert

When I converted my truck to 4wd I left the stock rear forward hanger and did a 4 inch shackle flip. I think I'm sitting around 3 inches of lift with 35's
Ok good to know. I will have the 2.5" flip off my K5 we are going to use. I think we'll put it together with that first and see how off it looks/go from there.

Interesting enough that one is out of stock everywhere... I had remembered that one as a good one and was my first thought. Haven't found anywhere that has one.

What do you recommend for hooking up a TPS to a Rochester for the controller? Looks like there is plenty of options from cable operated tps, to links, to universal kits, etc.
For that application I would see if any of the TCU can work off a vacuum signal instead of the TPS, I don't know the answer to that off the top of my head. We would have to download the instruction manual for the one you are considering.

Interesting. Didn't even know that was a thing. Will need to do some research.

Much better... Annoying how much holes there are but what can ya do... The last couple wires left to remove are for the auxiliary fuel tank switch/valve.

We measured the aux tank under there and it came out to 25 gallons or so. We can't tell yet if its home made or not. Looks to be a logo on it but we'll see when we get it out.

My dad snagged some 285/70r17 wheels and tires off FB for $800. Got lucky and they came with the GMC caps as well. Also a better look at it with all the dumb lights removed.

Also installed a new Rochester from National we had them jet up a bit for the 454HO. Part throttle response is miles better.

Removed the Kustom aux fuel tank and switching valve from the burb. They used 4 3/8 ready rod/carriage bolts up through the floor with some pipe sections for spacers. It also rested on the 1/4" angle iron that supports the running boards.

Based on measurements the tank seems to be about 25 gallons or so. And that was a little too much for the sheet I think. I also think they tightened the bolts so tight it started to pull the floor into those pipe spacers.

Just glad to have it out for piece of mind. We were noticing a lot of debris in the in line fuel filter right before the carb. Which leads us to believe there isn't a sock in there and/or they never lined the inside of this custom tank.

The center drop section was so they could get around the body support that runs out to the rocker.
