1977 K5 "Sparty On"

Got some work done the other day, used my new chop saw. Works great only issue I found is that if you wanna cut small amounts off the blade will flex & not wanna okay nice. But other than that it ran flawlessly.

Got it installed this way but not sure I like it. If I wanna put it the other way I’ll have to do some more notching of things...

Got it fitted & tacked in where I want it...I think it’ll turn out ok when I’m done. It’s the first time I’ve used my welder, took a little bit to figure it out. There’s an amperage controller on the base so I turned it up to 40-45 & it wasn’t wanting to fuse...looked it it was welding way lower. Come to find out there’s an amperage controller on the peddle as well & that was turned way down. Kinda weird but hay, gotta learn some how!!!

When you skip leg day for a week...lol

Since I can’t run next weekend due to my sister in laws wedding my buddy asked to use 2 of my tires.

Well getting used to the welder more & it’s starting to look better & better every weld.

Here’s the first end I did, some good spots & not so good. Gotta grind it & see what we got...

Here’s the other side.....night & day difference...

Got the other side done this morning & it’s 10x’s better & also got the other side groaned down. Didn’t end up coming out to bad really on the first side. Now I need to weld the face side....

There it is.....lol Got it on lockdown now, post flow sucks on this cause it’s not adjustable to my knowledge. I’m gonna call them just to make sure but I’m very happy w/ this welder. It burned in real well. I ran it @ 100A and used 3/32nds rod & tungsten. Now to throw some paint on the welds & install it......

Got the hitch all welded up & installed last night, came out pretty well. The fit was great & easily installed....unlike most things lol!

Has a little helper helping as well....kinda! He thought it would be nice to help daddy by mixing up the flat washers & lock washers....lol

This is what the custom fan shop consists of right now w/ all my wife’s furniture repurposing going on....

It now gos from this....

To this....

And it makes ya feel like this......lol!

Got a flex head on the welder, there super nice & come in real handy when trying to into tight areas!

Operation nitrous fuel system install is a full go! On the nitrous feed side I decided I needed a drain instead of having to pump it all out if need be.....

Also had a casualty on install....Little to much tightening while holding....

I have another fuel filter on order that should be here Monday to continue on w/ the install.

Got a new fuel filter bracket made & installed. I needed to move it over & make room for the nitrous sides filter. Also got the fuel line run to leading up to it, just waiting for the filter & bracket to be delivered...

Saving weight! lol Taking some more brackets that aren’t really needed anymore off.....
