Are you going to make the truck TBI?

Yes sir TBI 350 from the 89 sub. I've already got a stand alone harness I've been sitting on for a year or so to use. I despise carbs and this truck doesn't need huge power for it's intended use around the farm

Some updates are in order for this thing finally. Have just been driving it without issue for the past couple months. So why don't we just see about ripping it apart here soon :doah:

New input shaft for the 205. Short 32 spline so I can couple my NV4500 directly to it with no spacer.

This fine piece of advanced adapters engineering showed up yesterday. Not going to have enough lift to comfortably clear the factory 93 bellhousing. and I'm sticking with a mechanical clutch for laziness reasons so I ponied up some pennies.

And this finally got drug home this evening. The 350 will probably stay under the hood for now since it's safe there. May not get to getting it torn out and torn down since one of the trucks in this picture may have a failing headgasket :o.

Took an oil sample that I'll send to the oil lab at work. Fingers crossed I'm wrong. Otherwise the K20 will get bumped up to tow pig duty for a few weeks.

(Pictures not fixed in this post. Picture a rusty suburban with nice interior)

I grabbed a few quick pictures of the suburban before all the light escaped me for the day. I haven't been around too many suburbans of this era. Was power locks and crank windows very popular at all?

And despite the interior being a tad messy it's all there and in good shape. The carpet isn't even really stained. Once I get around to fixing up my spare cab (1979 C30) it'll be a tough call whether to swap this interior in or keep it all 70's vintage.

Wait...you bought an AA bell for running a mechanical clutch with an NV4500?

I'm about to scrap a mechanical GM bell housing that would do the job just fine. :doah:

This is the parts 'burb, yes?

Wifey likes those front seats if you wanna sell off interior pieces.

I didn't really like the idea of drilling and tapping the face of the NV4500 much. It worked fine for you but my preferred method is installing the bellhousing first the stab the trans in after. I could've just used the current 465's bell if I had went the way you did.

Both seats are in very very good condition. Even if I were to use parts from this interior the seats would likely not be used so they'll likely be available.

Fair 'nuff. I don't see my mod as being any worse than the typical case with integrated bell housing.

But after botching up my angle 3 or 4 times, I see the value in installing the BH first. :haha:

Good. I'm sure we'll do some more horse trading in the somewhat near future. Want any GMT400 parts? I'm slowly running out of squarebody stuff. ;)

What's the rear gear ratio in that 6.5 trucks rear end? And it has an NV4500 in it that I hear you don't like them much anymore. I'm sure we can work something for what's left after you sell Brian the engine ;)

Sbc400... Yes yes. I am thinking about hitting up red power Roundup in Des Moines.... I think in two weeks....

Maybe I'll steal the 6.5 td turbo off an old farm truck on the way home and build a cheapy turbo small block...
