1978 K20 farm truck "Boring maintenance phase"

1978 K20- Rusty beater farm truck
How many of those would I need in one truck to actually not hate life??

Oh if only! Having to mount it in the bed may make cargo hauling rather tough.

I'll just leave this here though

Ah...why am I not surprised? You'll get lots of love around here for that alternative lifestyle choice.

I would swap a 7.3L idi in my Blazer if given one, preferably turbo with a zf5 speed. I seen one of these for sale the other day. Any guesses on what it is? Not sure if the one i saw was turbo. It would take A LOT of work to install in a square. 5935f4bb.jpg

I don't remember the model but it's a 9 liter correct? I have actually seen one of those in a 2wd CCLB before. It was listed up for sale on Facebook about a year ago.

Thinking of 7.3 IDI's I have access to a ton of them so the thought of putting one of them in the crew is always an option. The factory N/A bottom end will hold around 400HP which is around 125 more than I would push one towards if that's the engine I go with. I'd go with an R&D turbo setup versus any of the other aftermarket ones. an ATS setup like the factory used would be great but those are hens teeth around here.

How about a 6-53?

I wonder what you could get one to put out power wise? My main reasoning for the 7.3 was the ability to get it up to 300HP and have it live at that for many many years. Another engine isn't out of the running though, Id love of CAT or international of some kind

Bring me money and leave with a 400 :waytogo:

Ok. Maybe we can set something up.

Not 100% sure but I may be heading your way, in September. If not I can just make a day of it for a Saturday truck ride.
