86454K30 submitted a new Build:

1978 K30 SRW

I don't normally post build threads but I figured the cool factor on this truck others would appreciate. So I've watched this truck on market place for 9 months or more and finally went and looked at it last weekend. Body is rough. Story if the guy I got it from is the 2nd owner and bought it in about 1980. Its a 1978 Chevy Silverado K30, swapped in 454 from an 80 2wd, factory 4.56 gears, gov lock, factory tach, factory delay wipers, key buzzer..doesn't work, Hickey Grille guard/brushguard, side winder winch...still works!. Originally a 2-tone brown with tan in the middle. Gutted years of wiring upgrades for accessories, cleaned the interior out of the nasty, removed the brush guard from the grille guard.

Plans are:
Superlift 4" lift
35x10-16 swamper SX II or Q78-16 TSL Swampers
Stock white wheels if I can find K30 front caps
New exhaust
Fix exhaust leaks at manifolds
Belts and fluids
Add roof and tailgate lights.

Need a pair of K30 caps and a silverado 30 emblem if anyone has any.

Got some 16x7 accurides painted up! Debating on 35x10-16 swamper sx II or just through a set of radial 315s on them. Seems swampers are expensive for a bias but the tall skinny is the look I want.

Looks Tits!

How much lift you got on the springs?
Thank you!! Currently the rear is stock K30 and being a 78 it has the factory block in the back. The front has a custom 3-2x4's between the ubolt plate and bump stop :) Waiting on the 3.5" superlift. If it all goes as planned I won't need to change the rear at all. The truck is nose down about 3".
