1978 Trans Am Y88 SE with 400 W72, WS6, and 4 speed. Only 79.000 actual miles.
I found this Trans Am online, 10 years ago, while searching for parts for another Trans Am I owned at the time. It was going to be my restore project until the K5 took its place.
Now that I have a little time, I was able to disassemble the front end and get to the motor so I can see what needed to be done to start the rebuilding process. I really don't want to do a total rebuild if it's not necessary. So far it looks like it only needs valve seals and all gaskets.
Here is a start, I'll put more up tomorrow.
The first pic is what it should look like, all other pics are what it looks like now. The previous owners decided to paint it a dark chocolate brown and added a black primer for whatever reason.

Notice only one speaker in the back. The one in the front made it stereo.

The 8-track still works. For those of you who have no clue what an 8-track is, it's a.........................never mind. Fordum could explain it a lot better than me.
