This is a very clean truck and needs a good home. 1979 3/4 ton 4x4 silverado. 14FF rear and 10 bolt front, 3.73's 406 SBC Dart sportsman II iron heads with 2.02/1.60's, roller rockers, flat top keith black pistons, eagle crank, eagle rods, studded bottom end with windage, block is .030 over (406"). Edelbrock performer egr with edelbrock 795 quadrajet w/ electric choke. MSD 6AL and accel 8.8 racing wires. Engine has about 8500 miles sinc new. Trans is th400 with good firm shift kit and heavy duty bands etc. 6500 miles since new. transfercase is np203 with part time kit. t-case is tight and I keep the shifter adjusted properly. new drive shafts. paint is all new about a year and a half ago. brown/champaign(tan) two tone with silverado trim package. has small oops in tailgate but easily fixed. interior is very nice, mostly new or redone. pioneer cd player, 1000 watt amp, 2x10 rockford subs , 2x6's and tweeters. CB Radio and antenna. This truck runs and tows great! would benefit from 4.11's or 4.56's but its not needed to turn 33" mud terrains. truck rides on a 4" lift. looks and sets very nice. Truck needs: tires. tires are not worn and only have about 20'000 miles but are starting to crack and/or seperate from sun damage. Needs an exhaust system. I originally had a nice set of headers on it but the friendly California Air Resources Board and the smog ref said I couldnt have them. Truck currently has exhaust manifolds and a tired flomaster. This truck would greatly benefit from another set of headers and it ran even better than it does now with them. The truck is CA smog legal and passes CA smog with no problems but it still runs much better when you pull all the smog junk off. Truck is a HD and does not require a smog pump. only an EGR, Cat and exhaust header flap thingy (had to buy a new one and who knew a chunk of iron with a flap in it would be $250!?!) any questions answered: 661-871-6522 6000 or best offer. price is low due to needing tires and exhaust, 4500 in parts alone in the motor.
