I am new to the forum and need some help in finding the mounting hardware for the OEM roof rack for my 1979 K5 Blazer. I have found all the pieces for the rack with the exception of the chrome rail strips that attach on the fiberglass top under the rack rails and the hardware. Have been looking on Ebay and every site imaginable but have not found the correct mounting hardware.

Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from some of you.... Bob Redfern, Blythewood, SC

The well nuts you will need to buy new. I have a couple of the gaskets to make templates from. I also have half a set of bolts. The power is out here at the moment but I'll dig them up when it is restored.

Kenny, thanks for the note and appreciate your help.... I need to find an original well nut just so I can see how long it is.... The ones in the picture above are for the Suburban and I am sure they are longer than those for the fiberglass topped Blazer..... I have to get this right the first time as once the holes are drilled in the fiberglass.. there are no redo's... You can text me at 803-600-3122 or send me an email to [email protected] when you find the screws.. thanks, Bob

The Suburban version are probably shorter than Blazer. They only install into the thin roof sheetmetal rather than the thicker fiberglass top. I'll let you know when I dig them up.
