80' 427 submitted a new Build:

1979 K30 Pile of Hillbilly Crap.

Well since I have been bugged that I need to post pictures and junk of my fencing truck I guess I will. I bought this truck to replace my 73 k20 that I broke the 44 in. I was just looking for a Dana 60 but it came with a truck.

This is the day I bought it

Didn't take me too long to start wrecking stuff

Here is the grease ball 350

And this the new motivation

Setting at home

Then I wasted some money

and some more. This is hooked to new ORD 4 Hd leaves

This was too short

Sitting a little higher

New stance with old wheels and tires

Cute ain't it.

These are a little better

Here we are with it on the ground and 37s

Added my tailgate from my old 3/4 ton

Added a rear detroit to the 14

Visited a buddy and did a little drinking

This is out of order but I felt the 454 was lacking

I have since pulled the turbo until I have a bit more money to correct the problems.

I will have to wait till photo bucket finishes up loading for a few pics but this is where we are at for the moment...

Here is some more

some new Sh!+ hooks

took a little grinding

They fit after hours of breathing grinder dust

Ordered the correct SM465 shifter knob

Noticed my frame moved before my tires so I cut this out

and bolted this in

Had to remove a broken Driverside rear spring

Burnt my cheek trying to cut off the nut that had rusted round in the front hanger

Cut the box down a little

So I changed them

I like it, great build I'm doing a budget K30 right now, too .

Are the two sets of Iroks both the same size , the set on the stock wheels w/ hub caps look bigger then the set on the white wagons .

No, the tires on the wagon wheels were 36x12.50x15's. The ones on the stock steel wheels are 39.5x13.50x16.5's.

I like your pile of hillbilly crap. Ugly beat up old trucks have always seemed to grab my attention more than nice trucks. Guess I like the functionality of a beater.

Love the tailgate too. I may have to steal the idea.
