Hello
Does anyone know if the roof skin from a 79 C10 pickup will work on a 1979 Blazer K5? I don't see a reproduction for the K5 but they have them for the pickups.
Thanks

Off the top of my head, the Mitchell crash book shows the parts to be different.

When I removed the cap there was rust underneath along the roof line. We were able to do some repairs on it but with the flex in the roof the bondo is cracking underneath. I am waiting for the NJ weather to warm up a bit so I can strip it down again, Thanks for looking. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

You can check out my thread a few rows down is this section. Doing a roof skin on my 84. The pickup truck roof is different, but if you are willing/able to you can shave the drip rails and possibly make one work. That was the direction I was heading, but I was lucky enough to come across a rust free K5 roof I was able to cut away for my project.

If the rust is hidden by the hard top, the truck sheet metal is going to be quite different there. One idea is to find somebody cutting their roof to do a full-convertible conversion. It seems to me there are 2 layers of metal in the roof and even more in the roll-bar/topper bolt area. Maybe you can cut just the outer layer off the section that needs repair.

I am going to try that. I am waiting on the weather to break here in Jersey to start tearing into it. Thanks
