What is it worth to NOT have your front axle fall out?

I am pretty confident in saying I can lay some decent beads, and all I started with was playing with my Hobart 140.
Get scrap, get different thicknesses, and just clean everything with a grinder before welding. It will not take that long. And it's a skill that 90% of people don't know. So it's something that you should learn so you have that skill.

It's a skill I want to learn and I will learn. I wouldn't have invested this much into it if I wasn't serious. I just don't want to take the time to properly learn and delay the project even further then it already has.

My biggest issue right now is I can't keep a continuous sized bead constant.
Thought I was going to get some time to work on the truck this weekend, but forgot I already made plans and I couldn't back out. Ended up having to move a friend last night which drained me of my energy and ended up falling asleep early. Today was just a cluster of visiting family and friends I didn't really anticipate.

Started researching cutting the fenders, limited pics on how it's done with still retaining the factory look. I would like to keep the lip still in tack and not leave just raw edges. Anybody have any pics of knowledge how to pull this off?

That is how I want to cut mine, I want it to match the inner fender but keep the lip so it looks factory.
No Idea how I'm going to pull this off, I have no experience with metal work yet alone body work.
I do know some people that could pull it off for me, If I sharpie the cut I want and have them finish it off.

You can't go wrong with that auto-darkener from Horrible Frieght. Same one I use, but you can get it on sale for like $40 lots of times. I don't know how I ever welded with a hood that was always dark in the past. I mean it's like a life changing event man. For real. No more lifting the stupid mask up and putting it back down over and over...
