I got these shock hoops figured out now, I'll be able to get them knocked out next time I'm able in the garage. Just need to learn how to notch tubing for the frame spuds.

I want to get a tube bent in a 90 then sleeve it onto the ord hoop and set it up how I have picture above. Might do one of these where it connects on top of the frame, have it welded to the frame then slip this down and double weld it.

I also will plate the sides of the frame and where the spud is.

5 Days without a posts, this is nonsense...

90 Days till Blazer Bash. :eek1: Going to notch the A/C box, what is the negatives towards this? Will it effect performance of the A/C? The hoop will go straight down on the frame to a slug.

Also gives a better view as to why it won't go on top of the frame rail.

Going to get these new shock hoops bent up and hopefully installed this weekend.

Notched box should be fine. And no offense man, really, but I wouldn't be surprised if in 90 days, you are just getting the suspension done and frame painted. MAYBE of you had the next 90 days off work. Let's put it this way. You and I seem to work at a similar slow pace. A friend of mine just challenged me to have my burb road trip worthy by the 4th of July. I'll have it running again this week, but I still told him no way cause I just know it won't work out.

If for no other reason than the money. I have to dump about $600 into mine still before I call it road trip worthy. And that road trip would be our 4th of July celebration which surely will cost tons of money. So I can't spend tons of money, just before I need to spend tons of money.

I always applaud your tenacity. But I worry sometimes that you will work your way into being permanently burnt out. I don't wanna see you grow to resent this truck.

Oh I know It won't be possible but I will continue to try to meet the goal. Even If it is able to make the drive I doubt I would wheel it, to many things to go wrong on a new truck.

Once I get the suspension done I promise work will go much faster then the snail speed.

Must be 90 days till registration I was reading... 109 Sounds way better then 90.

I think my wife is getting excited. And after what happened in 2008, she has a rule that I can't do major truck mods less than 90 days before BB. So she always keeps an eye on that 90 day mark. :haha:
