Lower pressure in the rear tires can make a difference in tire wear too. Depending on the load range of the tire makes a difference on pressure. My load range E tires on the 3/4 ton, are at 32 or so when in DD mode. They are stiff enough for that. My '72 C10 has too wide of tires for the wheels. Those are normally at 20.

I had a 35 min conversation with Stephen today from ORD we think with my basterd leaf springs and the bilstein shocks it's causing it and transferring to the front.

I'm going to adjust tire psi and see if that works. We also talked about it and I can't remember if I was hitting expansion joints in the road or transferring from asphalt to concrete.

All this is fine cause the rear is getting swapped out eventually for some ORD leafs or 63's with a tune able shock to compliment the front.

First drive after getting tires mounted I could tell right away the tires were over inflated, at least by my specs. :) The front is jarring and the rear skitters across the bumps, feels loose. I was deflating the tires in the parking lot waiting my turn for a haircut.

Check your shock eye bolts in back, I've had loose shocks make my truck feel weird like your saying.

What stinks is when I do the rear it isn't going to be cheap, I think the only way I will be happy is with a set of bypasses... :doah:

Im thinking thats my long term objective as well. Chucked some ranchos in there, but meh...

With the rear being so light I think it's the only way to really tune the shock and control the spring . Internal bypass is probably the ticket with a bump stop.

I believe I'm currently running 40 in the front and 30 in the rear.

The 08 2500HD company truck rides horrible without a couple hundred pounds in the bed. I have a couple of the bigger ammo boxes full of sand tied down in the back. Sometimes they get removed to haul a load and I can't almost instantly tell when they are missing.

I could also tell a difference in the crew cab when I moved the spare tire location. I had that swing down carrier mounted to the rear bumper and then moved it into the bed to where it is just in front of the rear axle. It definitely made a difference, in a negative direction.

^ that is frame beaming. There are updated rear mounts that make it drive like a whole new truck.

The bulletin literally says put couple hundred pounds in bed and re drive.

I didn't believe it until I did it, I was flat blown away.

:haha: Went and beat on the truck tonight, tons of turns through and non built residential area, @Countrycholo said I hit 65 mph lol... I think around every corner the tire was spinning. A few of the corners he was putting his arm up on the cab for bracing and was amazed how well the body would roll over then settle.

Man this thing is fun to drive.
