It happens, for short term you can cut some sheetmetal and jamb in there to take up the slack and make ti ok for now. I once had this happen on my S15 and an old school match book cover was the right thickness, installed ujoint with folded over match book between the tabs and the joint and ran with it for a really long time.
I'm thinking a crush sleeve eliminator and a 1410 u bolt style yoke. I just don't get how this happens. Shouldn't the ears be the same width as the ujoint?
But that parts list is going to have to wait. Have to save my pennys.
Well cause this yoke is trash you could always pull it and use a press to close it together. It's an insanely small amount. Or weld it in. Did that once really hard to get it centered no nevermind don't do that
I would rather just wait and do it correctly.

Yes it is a 1410 yoke for a 05 10.5 aam. How much do you want for it?.
Was for measuring - was just looking at your vid and are you sure the joint isn't the problem?
Actually, I have a 1410 yoke - ubolt style but not sure if the spline count would be right - was used on 205 output when I was looking for my vibration problem.

It's a brand new u joint with maybe 4 miles on it. I took 3 different 1410 u joints and had the same issue.
I need the axle side.
Dude, does your ujoints not have seals?
Looks like you can see seals in there, just dark. But your measurement is only .027" different from spec - and it looks like you've got more than that in play...

You can find 1410 yokes all day for the AAM in the yard. Problem would be actually getting it off I imagine.
I had to replace the yoke on both of my front and rear axles because of ujoint play in them. Took me a while to track down too as it's not something you look at a lot.
I'll have a factory brand new one to measure this afternoon. Curious to see what is going on.
Ya know...I'm not likely to use mine. If you're in the market I could part with it. It is for a 10.5" 14BFF, not sure whether they're the same.
