Hood pins
“Racetruck”

and no, it would take some grafting to work
I do have a set of pins, but I messed up my cowl hood putting them in...

I got in a rush for blazer bash and wasn't thinking. It's ok though cause I had a love hate relationship with that cowl hood anyway.

I would never try to run a factory hood latch on these trucks if you're going to do any kind of suspension articulation.

The frame is braced up in the front and the engine cross bar still removes by hand.
Mine is still stock. But only mall crawl it.
slightly used, check the carfax.

So sense I rebuilt the tcase I thought I bench shifted it into 4 low put it in truck went to blazer bash and no 4 low gets stuck in high. I didn't get to wheel the truck.

Took it all apart, everything looks fine won't shift. I can take the shaft out and the shifting works. Assemble it in 4low and it will shift all the way to 2wd but gets stuck in high...

I'm at a loss been messing with it for about a hour.

Bench shifting this time?
I really don’t know, never had one apart. :(

EDIT: I should have a :) after never pulling one apart but I didn’t want to rub it in

:)

So I'm looking to mig weld some exhaust, where is everyone finding material? It seemed im on a loose chase with summit or amazon. Needing a 3 inch flex coupler and maybe a resonator and pipe.

A flex coupler? What for? I have never felt the need for one of those. I let the mounts flex a little.

My distributor has some aluminized pipe and bends, I can see what they have in stock if you let me know exactly what to look for...

I seem to like pulling the transfer case and transmission out, might as well make it easier to drop it at the header then behind the tcase...

I have gotten a fair amount if stuff from Summit. I don't know if there is a flex coupler that has a disconnect. Not sure. I have bought flex sections and V band clamps that weld in. It's been a couple of years since I bought anything, though.
I put flex couplers, (sections) in the exhaust on my '90. I first had problems with the collectors on the Sanderson headers leaking, then one cracked at a primary tube weld after I had added the flex sections in the head pipes. So I am not sure how I am going to proceed now.
You can get just V bands to make a disconnect.

I'm thinking a vband, flex coupling and maybe a few feet of pipe.

When I added the muffler on it wasn't the best welds in the world and I had to do some shady repairs to get it to work after half the exhaust fell off one time...

Yes I just use v bands for disconnects if needed, no need for a flex pipe if your exhaust mounts can flex. My dist has some 3" v bands in stock from Vibrant.

I see steel or stainless pipe, but I don't see aluminized right now. What are you looking for exactly?

To be able to weld it with my mig welder. I bought a v band that was stainless but I can't mig weld it...

For what I want see above post, mig weld it and send it.

Stainless will weld with a mig, the weld will rust. I have seen it and done it. Not the preferred method, bit it will work.

Yeah, not ideal but it works. My exhaust on my K5 is all stainless and I had to weld the hangers on it with a MIG :doah:
