I use fuzzy dice for that. I told people it was my "decalibrated inclinometer."
Had I put a protractor/angle-finder underneath, it would have been a "carefully calibrated inclinometer."

A budy of mine bought a Blazer that had fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror. He was going to throw them out the window because they were driving him nuts. I said if you are going to litter, litter in style. So we hung them off a road sign. Way up in the air. He had to stand on my shoulders to get them there. Every time I drive by there, I check to see if they are still hanging around (it's in the middle of nowhere on a county road).
As for the AC, definitely keep it.
