Greg, I was going to say that he needs to learn how to do notches using his brain, but at this point, we need all the time savings we can get!

That was the idea of the template to save time.

I'm just going to use 1/4 plate. I already have enough to do one side why not use it? How big of a gap should the plate be from the tubes? Does the bead on the hoop need to be thin to the frame then the plate to hoop fat?

Told the girlfriend for the next few months I hope she doesn't want to do anything but work on the truck. :haha:

Ok bar clearance info. If you see the spot i put a line, it is the ideal spot as it has the spots that fold up.

i marked spots on each fender and laid this big level across and took some measurements

about 31 and 32 1/4" from the back of the fender by the door.

and 2.5" forward from the resi cap :waytogo:

Detailed enough for you?

If you dont get in that spot id say you have a pretty close clearance half inch or so, but i cant really measure it with the fenders in... :dunno:

I think it will work, how far below the level is the master cylinder cap? Looks to be about 1.5 inches? If that is the case then I'll be good and man did I shove that motor up as high as possible. :haha:

Actually... The cap is really close to the bottom of the level like dead even, but luckily the hoods shoot up about 6 inches from the side like a half inch up...

I thought about it, It does need to get painted, I think cutting it and folding in the skin and tack welding it to the outside.

What trails did you sign up for Wade? I would love to get both trucks together for a photo.
