Some reason I prefer a auto in a truck. If I was towing a lot then I can see the manual.
Auto in a wheeler or DD. I row 10 in the tow rig.

Did a bit of work tonight but nothing worth posting that hasn't been seen before. I need to move the pan hard bar and figure out the geometry for that. then weld up the bump cans and start plating this damn thing in.

Well here is my idea on plating the frame, everything is going to be plated and double welded and all that good stuff...
Sorry for the fuzzy picture, took it real fast and didn't view it after. The top will be plated and plug welded. the sides will be welded around and have holes in the middle of the plate for more weld surface area. the bump cans will be welded to the frame then have these for plates. http://www.polyperformance.com/shop...an-Mount-Square-Tube-Frame-Mount-p-20895.html Then I will even plate around those and double weld it to the frame.
What does the peanut gallery say? I want to do this one time and prepare for the Baja 1000

No real advise to offer, but i think if you did what you have there, it probably wouldn't bad.
I'm going for overkill and want it done and never have to touch or worry about it again.

Wade has a 10 bolt and I can assure that thing has been through the paces a few times. With a max tire of 35's and not looking to beat on it tooo hard I think it will be fine. it is the 32 spline 91 axle.

I know the 10 bolt can hold up pretty dece! My point is you are a silly boy of constant contradiction. Want ultra hardcore overkill beef, yet also want just something that will just be ok.
I have given 10 bolts beatings that i couldn't believe they could handle. I have also broken open 10 bolts with 33's.

I know but the frame plating I think is more necessary then a Dana 60, the coil overs will put a lot of pressure up high and cause all kinds of bad juju.
And lets face it, these frames need all the help they can get. lets toss on some coil overs and it's asking for trouble. I'm also thinking with a broken axle I can still get home unless I bust a knuckle or bend the housing. With something ripping off the frame I'm dead in the water.

What you have there is overkill. But when you decide in 2 years to go to a 60 and 40's, it will be ready.
Just 40's? That seriously made me laugh pretty good.
Is it really that overkill? What would be more appropriate then? I seriously doubt this truck will ever get a 60 or 40's I want it to be fully street able and not cause any harm to myself and other drivers.

Im not advocating against a 10 bolt or frame plating. I was making a jab at a contradiction.
