That's cool. This truck may turn out that way eventually. Most of those extreme trucks you saw in Moab probably started out as mild wheelers but got to where they are now after being driven enough to break stuff. It's a progression I would think.

I just can't bring it to myself to do that to this truck, It will stay a full bodied truck with a/c for the rest of my life. Years later down the road I'll build the extreme truck.

Yes we have, I have needed a truck and hate having to borrow vehicles. I will be getting most likely a 95-00 silverado 2500.

To get this back on the subject, I want to spend a bit more time with the welder and be more comfortable and I will tackle the frame plating. Does anybody know of any welder parts vendors? I need a new gun liner and possibly a new trigger. I would love to pick up a flexible ended trigger for those odd spots.
 
I believe that every man should have a truck. That's just how I was raised. You shouldn't have to borrow a truck to haul stuff around. Having one that can tow is a plus for sure. I'm sure you can find one for a reasonable price in the year model range you're looking at. Any newer than that and the price will increase significantly. I recently bought a 2001 four door, 4wd Ford Supercrew because I couldn't find a comparable used GM truck that they didn't want an arm and a leg for. Something to consider at least. Whatever truck you get, I"m sure you'll be pleased. Unless you get a job where you have to commute long distances - then you'll want your Malibu back.
 
Seems parts for my Millermatic 150 serial number ke721599 and a gun of Ga-17C are hard to find.

I came across this replacement gun.

For what little things I have seen the gun I have now isn't the greatest and Brent (Reddog) said it sucked. It does seem a little uncomfortable to me and the liner is shot in it.
