Baba you should change the name of your thread to the "Might as Well Do It Right the First Time" build. I think that would be appropriate.

You are going to make my wallet hurt lol. It won't have the limiter adjusted, it will be set at 6k or so.

I have more miles that I care to admit to on the race car motor at over 4K RPM

The ONLY thing it has is a cam, push rods and springs. Rev limiter set at 6K or maybe 6,100 and it's used as the shift point. Seriously.

Your way overdoing all of this. Quit buying Sh!t and put the Fuking truck together. Fix the god damn crap that needs fixed then.

Is that clear enough? :thumb:

That is what I'm doing Brandon, I'm not going to buy the bearings. I might buy the pushrods I think there is a slight difference for the cam.

Yes the entire line of these engines is sensitive to pushrod and valve springs in relation to the cam. That's why cam swaps in them can get expensive, it isn't just the cam it's springs and pushrods too.

Already have the springs, I measured them before and I belive the correct length. I think the only difference might be is a harder rod.

I give up keeping up. I open this thread and I am 3 pages behind.:eek1:

New rules proposed for this thread.

Ben can only post once for each hour of work on the truck.:grind:

The rest of us can only post once per day.

Baba, no LS expert here, but when I do lifters, I generally like to do em all.... pushrods, I don't mind replacing 1 or 2 if pretzeled, etc...

The lifters are in my hands, the box inside has the same part number That I was quoted for at 480.:dunno:..... So score I only paid 130.:woot:
