I hope you can get it done without any trouble. You had enough trouble with the transmissions.

Thanks, most of it will require little to no fab so should be pretty quick as long as I can take the high temps. I will just have to prioritize a few things and I should be good to go. Worst case I have options to make things work if I can't do the complete list.

I have one works good with a little playing with making everything round.

I have this one at home and at work. They work great unless you are crimping a cable that's on the vehicle and there is no where to set it to pound on it. I then fill the lug with solder after crimping and then adhesive lined heavy duty heat shrink on top of that.

I also have this one at work. But it's a bit spendy for home use.

I was going to mention the heavy duty adhesive lined heat shrink. I get mine from McMaster-Carr; you can get it in red and black. I use that same hammer type crimper but put it in the 20ton press. I figured out the hard way that you have to hammer that thing on concrete. I tried pounding it on one of our heavy duty wood benches but they still give too much.

For that matter I buy my battery cable from McMaster-Carr. The fine stranded welding stuff.

12ga I use a good ratchet crimper and terminals that already have heat shrink with the sealer or sometimes called marine grade.

That crimper you got does 12ga; that makes it even more interesting.

Yepper! Klein does them too and Snap-On and some others I'm sure. Best ones ever for anything 8 ga. and smaller as @Justin V said

I have used those crimpers before, maybe I'm doing something wrong but always felt it could be better.

I'll borrow some stuff from work and see what I can do, I'll post pictures to.
