This has been seized sense bb15 including wheeling for the weekend and survived 5 transmissions and a engine. :rotfl:

No go on the wings for the bump cans my material was to thick and just isn't going to work. Not to mention I kept blowing up cut off wheels.

What material were you using?

Was trying to use 1/4 because I had a sheet, would much rather use 3/16 But I would have to beg someone to get me some or pay a ridiculous amount. A 3x3 sheet was going to cost 80 dollars.

What do you guys recommend sense I'm going to have to buy anyway now?

The plan was to have two wings and a piece to the top of the frame to the can and tow the wings in. It will be hard to get the welder Into the top of the frame.

1/4" should be no problem for those wheels, either 3/16" or 1/4" would be fine for that job.

Slow down and keep the wheel speed high, keep the wheel as shallow as you can if you need to make a turn. Otherwise they blow up really easy. I built my whole Blazer with a cutoff wheel back in the day, it can be done.

I cut 1/4" stuff all the time. Cut off wheels are like toilet paper. But the cheap stuff and regret it

I'm not sure what is up with these, have never had this problem heck I cut the links with a harbor freight cut off wheel...

It might be my new grinder that spins faster at 12k but the wheels say 13.5k max speed. Either way I think I'm going to start fresh and see if I can get some 3/16 tomorrow.

You should have no problem cutting those with a decent wheel. I've had those HF discs explode on me, all their abrasives are poor quality IMO.

If you'd move closer, I could help you. The school district here is looking for qualified teachers and your employer has a branch 10 minutes from my house. And the house 2 houses down is for sale. 3 car, room for dog.
And my girls can baby sit for you
