This is one I have looked into but I think my radiator is to big for it to go around.


Thinking about it now, the intercooler doesn't have to be as wide as the radiator just the hoses need to go around it.
The LB7 intercooler is made to fit around the larger diesel size radiator, especially if you don’t have big oil coolers in either tank.

After reading @AgDieseler thread the duramax intercooler looks like it needs a lot of work, I'm trying not to do that much but I know it will need something. Sure would hate to have to redesign a new AMD core support on it's way.

Well he had a custom radiator and the duramax intercooler.
By the way my buddy Dave used an early dodge Cummins intercooler with the diesel radiator with no mods.

I stand corrected, he did use the first gen intercooler but used a narrower aluminum radiator aftermarket that is thicker. The stock diesel radiator was too wide.
He did say that a Ford powerstroke intercooler was wider and worked better for his buddy
