So a second gen is bigger?
Good to know

Not sure about that, not the point I was trying to share.

I meant to share Rob Bonney's option which is for '99- to '04 Dodge IC.

I also share an example of me inserting an ebay special that advertised a CFM rating* that satisfied the requirements for my little 4 banger.

*I now know CFM rating are rubbish, go as big as you can! lol.

That can work well, assuming the methanol pump doesn't quit, then your engine may grenade. You may need a fail safe, like if the methanol doesn't create a certain pressure above a certain boost level and/or TPS amount, that the timing is reduced. Then you could safely run it.

Truck is ready for the wrap. I’m praying the wrap sticks to the primer/paint well it’s baking in the sun.

If I knew how to Tig weld I would be all over it, need to cut a few inches out of it.
When I did my intercooler, I taped the aluminum plates together how I wanted them welded and then took it to a shop to have it all burned in. I only had the spool gun on my Hobart at the time (and minimal confidence with it).

Just another option that lowers the stakes and maybe helps get you started.

Another option is the air to water intercooler, then the intercooler up front can be much smaller. However, the downside is you then need a heat exchanger between the supercharger and the intake, and you need a coolant pump. But this can result in faster throttle response because it doesn't have to fill a large intercooler full of boost.

I never thought of it that way, you're right.
That's why lots of the newer riders are better because they use smaller air to water systems

Back home from working out of town for I hope awhile. Why does everything cost thousands for this truck now? :haha:Got less then a month to make her shine for the Dino’s git down show. Then it will be on I hope camping duty and race prep for Moab. Would love to sprinkle in a vintage air but we will see.

never ran a vintage air so not knocking it but several youtube vehicle builders have been using the ebay A/C kits with good reviews and a fraction of the cost.

I'm told by a couple guys that have run em, that the vintage air units are COLD.
So at least if you go that route, it sounds like it'd be worth it.
I'm debating one for my burb.

The colder the better, I still use the ac here in the winter. I'm weird, I don't like driving around with the windows down. I don't want to listen to others people chitbox going down the road.
