Yup that is the plan 1982 meets modern.
I’m having him put extra stitching in the plaid so it doesn’t move. The yellow lines is what he is doing

Just got home with the seat. 
It’s way to nice to be in my truck good idea.
This was rather cheap considering what it is, tmi sells it for around 3300 I’m only into it 1600. The guy put a lot of work into it, I bet he has 60 hours into it
It looks great.
A set of tires costs more than that, and this should outlive a few sets of tires!
For sure, I didn’t want to spend that much on it but I was done with the saddle blanket for the past 33 years.
See I was figuring it'd be about 2k to do my back seat.
So I wasn't far off.
I want to put newer front seats in and have the back custom redone to look like they match the newer ones as close as possible without changing the frame.

A simple recover from this guy is about 800 with new foam and springs
