Hi all,
Up for sale is my 1983 Blazer K5 4x4. Currently has 170K on the clock, completely bone stock except for a few mild upgrades.
-305 4bbl Automatic 700R4 Overdrive NP208 Transfer Case
-Rebuilt Carburetor, new plug wires, distributor, fuel pump, alternator, fresh brakes, ball joints, U-joints and tires (BFG 32.5" I believe) Has A/C but needs charge.
Transmission was installed two years ago to replace the TH-350 that was in it. Currently, leaks out the tailshaft at the t-case mount, and slips a bit when cold/been sitting. When its been warmed up, runs like a champ.
*Disregard this paragraph; I swapped out the battery and everything seems fine.
Electrical has a slow discharge somewhere, I believe it is the ignition switch under the column. Has difficulty giving power to vehicle electrical system (especially starter). Battery reads 12.4V and dash says 10V but will start when fully charged. Have replaced alternator, ran new ground wires to engine, body and chassis as well as cleaning old grounds.
Other than that, it is a great truck that has been in my family for over 15 years. My father had a Magnaflow dual outlet exhaust installed (sounds sweet) and had it painted with base/clear system which still looks great. Was my daily driver until a year ago, and has been a great trail rig. Please note, on both the driver and passenger doors, there are some decent dents from close encounters on the trails. ALL glass is fully intact, and has tinted windows on the top.
This truck would make anyone happy, whether it be used for a daily driver/ occasional trail rig, or a starting point for a serious crawler. If anyone is interested, feel free to email me at [email protected].
