It’s stuck out in the side yard covered in snow for the winter. Nothing really left to work on. It runs and drives great. Commutes to work most days last summer. I do want to make the frame notches a little bit bigger come spring. The driver door needs a new lock solenoid and window regulator. The price of things up here though, idk if I’ll ever do those unless I found a cheap door. The junk yards up here suck and the one good one I found didn’t have any power doors in it.
I started this thing up to move it the other day and it just randomly died when it was warming up. The ignition module in the distributor crapped out. I never took the time to fully figure out the HEI system before. I had hunch that the 6 cylinder distributor for my jeep was pretty compatible with the 8 cylinder stuff. Turns out they are exactly the same minus the 6 position pickup. Good to know if I ever need parts. I took the ignition module out of the v6 and tossed it in the c20 and works like a charm. I ordered two Flame thrower 3 modules with built in programmable rev limiters. one for the c20 and one for the jeep. Figured since I was working on the ignition system I might as well deal with the dead lean condition from the cold weather. Stole the wide band from the jeep and slapped some 70 mains in the front. Time to start tuning.
