i wasnt sure i would like the all black look but it just looks pissed..lol also i can get away from those damn hurricanes, i like em but they suck taking on and off... ( i have those km2s on my 2500hd...awesome tire...)

hydro assist....

since my 60 is welded i wanted a little better steering, si i bought an end cap from ems offroad (30 miles away), they sold me their cap and tapped mine for free. I bought the ram, hoses and hardware from east coast gear supply...2x8 and a small B&M power steering cooler from my local auto parts store. I then did the west texas offroad pump mod , instead of using a rubber hose for extra room i brazed exhaust tubing 8inches tall, heres some of the pics of what ive done, it works perfectly and drives good on the road.....

i already painted the hood green but i did like the flat black a lil better...

Went to a local mudbogg and had some things happen, 1st pass of the day i broke a stock 60 lock out hub...so i played anyway and it drug the tire like a ski. So i called a local autopart store and they delivered some warn premiums, wow those arent cheap... i took them back and popped one in on the side that was broke. I made 3 more passes and it ran awesome until she stuck in 3rd gear and wouldnt come out. I drove it ten miles in 3rd and the last 2 it made lots of noises and stopped. The clutch exploded, i had to call a rollback.

heres a video of the pass the hub broke, some pics and the awesome clutch........

so the next upgrade being done shortly will be the 35 spline outers and 35 spline warn premiums. Ill be getting a new front and rear shaft made from driveline experts thats all 1410.

Guages

I wanted to do something with my stock guages, so i bought these dolphin guages, shark edition from the classifieds here. I checked on them before buying them and they are said in the reviews to be pretty good. Largely used in streed rods/ hot rods etc. They have stainless bezels and glass faces, light up gray with orange needles. That was good since autometers dont fit my budget. I cut a sheet of 1/8 alluminum to fit just inside the edge of the stock bezel, then cut the 2 1/16 ans 3 3/8 holes with hole saws at work, gave it the slight bend and screwed it to a bezel i bought at the junkyard with small self tappers.
Then today wired them all up and put them in the truck, i used a wiring diagram i found on the 73-87 forum and everything works perfect. Except the speedometer, since i need a cable that screws in at both ends. Autozone has it for 9.00 ill get it in the morning and get that working too... Heres what i have done so far.....I still have to remove the sunpros and do some cleaning up, also drill the holes for the leds for turn signals and high beams. I was thinking of adding some switches for my new winch, electric fans and piaas...

Thanks, i appreciate it... Im thinking of making some other pieces of the shiny alluminum for around the radio, headlight, wiper and for the rest of the dash. I have inserts for the door pannels made for speakers, and the whole carpet area under the door pannel will be removed and a piece will be there...a lil bling...lol.....or just let it plain like it is...

truck's looking good so far. im liking the olive green color with black flares.

I wired up 3 lights on the dash today, 2 green light for turn signals and a blue one for the high beam indicator. everything works perfect....
