I just installed a new clutch into my 1984 k30(350 motor) and for some reason it is stuck in 1st gear and won't do anything even after I engage the clutch.

I have a good amount of tension on the throw out bearing/pedal(have way adjusted on the threads (manual linkage).
Any ideas on what could be causing it as it worked before, just has a bad throw out bearing before but shifted fine..
And the pressure place is facing the correct way l. Also have a new pilot bearing installed too.

With the engine off and the parking brake applied will the trans ( with no tension applied ) shift in and out of gear positions with ease ?

Another thing to check is the positioning of the T.O.B. in relation to the fangs of the fork - it’s possible to get that wrong during installation and not realize it.
