1984 S15 Jimmy *New Pics 03-05-07*

The mounts I bought for the engine were returned. They were actually for a v8 and moved the engine to far foward therefore giving no clearence for the starter between the tranny and motor mounts on frame. I ended up just using 1/2" Plate to raise the frame mounts and used stock sbc 350 motor mounts for the engine side. I ended up having to use a body lift to clear the tranny to the fire wall but oh well. Hopefully will have the motor tranny and tcase in for the final time this weekend. Need to get in touch with painless about the tbi harness as it is used and it seems the previous owner made some changes. Fuel pump is installed. Still waiting in disc brake brackets from DIY. Also now with the extra 2" from the body lift I think I will continue to run the 39.5" boggers until I can buy some IROKs.

Hmmm I cant believe you thrashed that d30 so bad. Those are a good front axle for a light rig :D it looks goo though d44's were a smart choice. Any reason you didnt opt for fullsize 10bolts. I know they get a bad wrap but they have the same exact issues and strong points as a d44 but have more ground clearance.
