1985 D30 M1008 BUILD 52s/37s

Yep, looks cracked. But luckily 208's and/or 241's are pretty easy to come by and for pretty good prices too

Thanks guys may be worth trying. So the crossover steering arm would mount over the spring delete plates?

No the piece I linked would replace the spring and spring cap on the drivers side. If you wanted to do the passenger side you would need a springless arm.

Alright well ya getting my drivers side solid would definatly help. It still gets a little shimmy every once in a while.

Am I correct looking for a 32 spline np208 for the th400? There is a few different 208s I think

That should be correct, or a 241 32 spline. If I'm not mistaken, some of the later 208/241's behind SM465's in the 3/4 ton's were 32 spline as well. But I'm sure @82355 will correct me if I'm mistaken

Yeah, just find any NP208, and use your input if it is not the correct one.

It is the rear of the case that is cracked, right?

Weird, my boss just told me the same thing about a car I tried to buy last week. I'm not good with promises like that.

Grabbed a used NP208 from a guy locally. Painted it orange since none of you guys have made fun of me for making it pretty.

Also in hopes of clearing out the rotten mouse piss smell, I pulled the bench. Did little prep work on the floor and shot some under coating on it. Seats are not mounted yet. I plan to just drill and bolt them to the floor. Hopefully that's enough support for them

I would want the seat mounts fairly stout if it was me!?

Maybe some plate under the sheet metal or they will eventually rip through.

I guess I figured a bigger washer would take care of that.
