1985 GMC K20 - Engine

Have heads painted and sitting on engine will finish bolting them on wed. Also can paint the transfercase at same time. Moving along slowly, but should have done in spring.:thumb:

Finally got an intake that I think will work good. Its a Super victor, dont know if my carb spacer is going to work though.

finally got the right length pushrods .250 longer than stock. Need to do little more port work to intake then engine will be done. Hopefully can get a lot of work done Memorial weekend.
 
Engine done, or close

finally have the engine really close to being done. Been one hell of a year wanted it done for summer but that didnt work. Oh well.

slowly Get'n er done

3 day weekend this weekend 4 day weekend next week, so maybe able to fire it up. Also doesnt look like air filter base is going to work so may have to use a drop. I dont have the transfercase x member dropped to the right angle but that is not going to help with air filter.
 
Ok engine sittin in there, looks good but not sure what to do about transfercase xmember. I have the 208 and 205 xmembers not sure what one to use. 205 transfer case bolted to the 700r4, but I like the 208 xmember better cause it maybe easyer to run the exghaust that way.Also would like some info on what angle I need to set the engine at. May try to set the trany pan at o*. :D
 
Nice work! I plan on doing a truck build here soon. You give good ideas!
 
D60 cover on...

Been workin on truck a little here and there. Almost have the Dana 60 axle all done. How does the DIY4X cover look?

I had spicer lockouts but having problems with getting them to fit in the hubs. So ordered a set of Yukon lockouts.
