Does anyone know what the port at the top rear of a quadrajet carb connects to ('86 Suburban)? I removed my aircleaner and discovered a connection near the top of the carb and facing towards the firewall with a short (2") piece of vacuum line (about 1/8" diameter) attached to it. I cannot, however, figure out where it originally tied in - there are no obvious loose hoses in the vicinity. Could this just be some sort of overflow? If anyone knows, I'd sure appreciate hearing about it! Thanks.

any pics?
it might be for a choke pull-off

A picture is worth 1000 words...

I posted a picture of the carb with an arrow indicating the location of the connection in question. This picture is not of the actual carb in question, so the port appears to be connected to something (unlike mine), but I can't tell what it's hooked up to. The only place I could easily host image was my cardomain.com site, so it's the last picture on the page (#8). Thanks!

If an 86 Burb carb is the same as a Blazer

That looks like the clean air port for the EGR Bleed solenoid.

On the rear of the passenger side valve cover, there should be a rectangular solenoid with 2 ports.
1 port connects to the rear of the carb.
The other Tees into the vacum line to the EGR.
