Looking for a new chevy bowtie grill emblem. The one I have has some wear to it. Cannot seem to find any nos ones. Any help would be appreciated.

That 2nd link looks like the right one.

The other is $75 buy it now, that's not too horrid

I'll take your old one when you find a new one.. I'm sure yours is in better shape than mine.

My grill is in pieces trying to get a good set of those center trim pieces. All of em are dented around here

Im talking these ones..

I cant justify spending $130+ on 2 pieces of trim :doah:

I thought trying to sandblast that odd coating on them would work to get off, and I thought if I taped the outer pieces and had a blasted look in the center it would look really cool....

Well sandblasting bent the piss out of them lol. It was dark and raining outside when I did it, so I didnt notice how it bent them untill I went back inside and had to ruined pieces that were perfect prior...

You shouldn't have blasted them.
That is a vinyl tape on there, you just have to heat it up with a heat gun to pull it off.
My old ones are all chrome form removing the vinyl, back in the 80's
I bought new ones for mine from Classic Parts and they come white and I had to change them to red.

Yah i didnt even think about it. I thought it would work lol. Dumb mistake...

I heard aircraft stripper works great.

This darn bowtie is already at $101.:eek1:
My my wife said its not worth $100.
To bad she cann't stop me from getting it.
She might be mad at me afterwards.
5 more days on this.

14043882 is the correct one for the 4 headlight grill. I don't thing the 14043879 has the tabs on the back. I thing it is for the 2 headlight grill.

I have been looking for a NOS one for a couple of years now. The last one I bid on went for $400+. I think my last bid was like $265 and I felt like an idiot for bidding that much. I have a very nice used one that I am going to use. Not worth what they have been going for to me.

A NOS 14043882 sold for $299 on ebay on 12-12-2012. Item # was 271122385464. That is the cheapest one that I have seen in 2-3 years.

The one that just sold on ebay was the cheapest I ever saw a NOS one bring.

$152.50

Did you buy it?

No, I tried to get it. Put a bid in at the last 5 seconds for more ($163.95) then it went for. but for some reason it took me to the sign in page. I thought I was signed in. Not sure what happened. M
