Hey All,
I have a decent little Texas raised Chevy SWB for sale or trade.
I need something more suited to pulling my boat.
This truck has been a texas truck forever I think. I bought it from a fellow who purchased it from his uncle.
It has a clear title in my name and is inspected and tagged.
Has a TBI 305 with 3 speed (with granny gear... I call it a 4 speed)
It shows 30+++ on the ODO, I am sure it is 130+++. The motor starts right up but does puff a slight smoke on startup... Also has a slight stumble off the line which I have been told is the EGR valve. I have driven this thing up quite a bit and it is my current daily driver. I would drive it about anywhere.
It has roll up windows and bench seat.
It needs some work on the interior... such as a seat cover and dash cover, door panels are not cracked but need to be refinished. It has manuals windows that work.
The exterior has surface rust on the top where the paint has peeled. Only surface nothing deep. IN fact the truck is very clean body wise other than a few dents and dings that need work.
All lights, turn signals work... It is an AC truck but the AC compressor more than likely needs replaced.
It has a set of 20" MHT Driv wheel which are in excellent condition. The front tires are low profile toyos 245/40/20 and the rear are goodyear 275/55/20... I put the goodyears on to pass inspection and they are alot taller than the front.
My plans were to lower the truck slightly and just drive it to work. I like it alot but not great for pulling the boat to the ramp and worrying if someone is lifting my wheels all day while I am fishing.
The wheels were not cheap and the truck is definelt worth a little bit of body work and paint and will be a great ride for someone looking for a daily driver that would get better mileage with smaller rear tires.
Anyone have any offers for cash or trade let me know.
Burb, K5, Longbed truck more suited for pulling. I am not so worried about the body as I am about the motor being reliable.
I iwll try and post these pics.
Regards
